LORNA JOHNSTONE (09/11/1902 – 07/18/1990)

Lorna Johnstone was a renowned British equestrian specializing in dressage. She represented Great Britain in three Olympic Games (1956, 1968, and 1972). At 70 years old, in Munich, she became the oldest woman to compete in an Olympics.
Lorna, with her dedication, passion, and skill in dressage, left a legacy not only for the sport but also for human activity in general. She demonstrated that age is not necessarily an insurmountable barrier to success and quality of life.
