Participation of Seniors in the Olympic Games: is it Possible and Worth it?

OSCAR GOMER SWASH (10/20 /1847 – 05 / 01 / 1927)

He was a Swedish shooter who stood out in the early Modern Olympic Games. He is notable for being the oldest athlete to win an Olympic medal. Oscar competed in the Olympics of 1908, 1912, and 1920, all in shooting events. MEDALS: LONDON, 1908 Gold – 2 (Team and Individual Double Shot Deer at 100m), Bronze – Team Single Shot Deer at 100m; STOCKHOLM, 1912 Gold – Team Double Shot Deer at 100m, Silver – Individual Double Shot Deer at 100m; ANTWERP, 1920 Silver – Team Moving Deer Shooting (military style). He competed at the age of 72, being the oldest athlete to win a medal to date.
