BIRTHDAY is a significant point in our JOURNEY, marking the memories we accumulate throughout LIFE. It can also symbolize the BEGINNING of a NEW CYCLE. We wish that this NEW PHASE be full of ACHIEVEMENTS, JOYS, and MEMORABLE Moments.

Today is Brazilian Cinema Day, Migrant Day, for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Day, and National Day of Mourning, among many others around the world

Brazilian Cinema Day: a tribute to the first filming carried out in Brazil by Afonso Segreto on June 19, 1898. He filmed Guanabara Bay aboard a French ship, marking the beginning of cinematographic production in the country.

National Migrant Day: aims to recognize the contribution of migrants to society. The date seeks to promote inclusion and protection of migrant rights. Migration is a global phenomenon that reflects the economic, social, and political dynamics of the world.

International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict: UN Resolution 1820 of June 19, 2008. This resolution condemns sexual violence as a tactic of war and a threat to peace and security. It highlights the need for effective measures to prevent and respond to sexual violence in conflicts and reinforces the accountability of perpetrators.

World Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Day: a date recognized by the UN to raise awareness about sickle cell anemia, a genetic disease that affects the shape of red blood cells.

National Day of Mourning: instituted to remember all victims of disasters, tragedies, and other situations that resulted in loss of life in Brazil.
