MERCHANT’S DAY: it is a tribute to the Brazilian Merchant, highlighting their importance to the Local, City, and Country’s Economy. The date was established by the then-president of BRAZIL, João Café Filho, through Law 2.048 of September 26, 1953. The day was chosen in honor of José da Silva Lisboa, the Viscount of Cairu, who was a great Promoter of Commerce in BRAZIL during the Colonial Period.

WORLD SNAKE DAY: international Snake Day is a date that seeks to raise awareness about the importance of Snakes in the Ecosystem, demystify Fears, and promote the Conservation of these species. Snakes play an important role in Pest Control and the Maintenance of Ecological Balance. The date is celebrated by enthusiasts of Herpetology (the branch of zoology that studies reptiles and amphibians) and Environmentalists around the World.

OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL DAY: this day celebrates the apparition of the Virgin Mary to the English Carmelite friar Simon Stock in 1251. According to tradition, Mary gave him the Scapular of Carmel, promising special protection to those who wore it with Devotion.
