WORLD CANCER DAY

The date serves to raise awareness among the World Population about the preventive care of the Second Disease that Kills Most People Worldwide: Cancer, also known as Neoplasia (the first being cardiovascular diseases).

The causes for the emergence of Cancer can be varied, from External Reasons – such as the Environment, Customs, or Habits that the Individual possesses – to Internal factors, such as Genetic Characteristics.

According to the National Cancer Institute – INCA, the types of Cancer that most affect Brazilians are: Skin, Prostate, Breast, Colon and Rectum, Lung, and Stomach.
