Bank Workers’ Day: recognizes the importance of bank workers, who are fundamental to our country’s economy. The choice of this date goes back to 1951 when, after a 69-day strike, bank workers achieved a wage increase and better working conditions.

Poultry Farming Day: highlights the importance of the poultry sector in Brazil, which is one of the largest producers and exporters of chicken and eggs in the world.

National Day for the Prevention and Combat of Scalping: created to raise awareness about the risks of scalping (a severe injury where the scalp, parts of the face, ears, and even the neck are torn off). This date was established in 2010 in response to the alarming number of cases in the Amazon region, where river transport is most common.

National Volunteer Day: celebrates the importance of volunteer work in Brazil. It was created on August 28, 1985.

Feast Day of Saint Augustine: commemorates the death of one of the greatest Doctors of the Catholic Church. His theological and philosophical thought significantly influenced Christianity.
