Chemist’s Day: dedicated to chemistry professionals, recognizing the importance of chemists’ work in society, from research to practical application. The date was chosen to honor the regulation of the profession in Brazil in 1956.
National Day of Japanese Immigration: celebrates the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants in Brazil on the ship Kasato Maru at the port of Santos on June 18, 1908. Onboard were 781 immigrants who came to work on coffee plantations. The celebration strengthens the ties between Brazil and Japan.
Sustainable Gastronomy Day: promotes food practices that respect the environment, biodiversity, and natural resources. It was established in 2016 by the UN.
Autistic Pride Day: important for celebrating neurodiversity and promoting the inclusion and acceptance of autistic individuals. It is a time to increase awareness and combat the stigma associated with this difference.
