HEALTH and QUALITY of LIFE After 60 YEARS:
Importance of WALKING Daily Walking or Running is a simple, accessible, and low-cost practice, but with a significant impact on Physical and Mental Health. It promotes Autonomy, Longevity, and a better Quality of Life, becoming essential, especially after 60 years. Three Practical Tips:
1) Intensity: for those starting, walking for 20 to 30 minutes at a Comfortable Pace, 5 times a week, is a great start. Gradually increase the time and intensity;
2) Variety: alternate between Flat and Inclined Surfaces and eventually add a faster pace to diversify the training and improve cardiovascular capacity;
3) Company: walking with Friends or in Groups can be a great way to stay motivated and socialize, which also brings mental health benefits.
