TODAY is World No Tobacco Day, as well as Flight Attendant Day and Airport Day, among other observances worldwide
World No Tobacco Day: in 1987, the WHO established this date to draw global attention to the tobacco epidemic and its side effects. In Brazil, recent themes such as “Tobacco and Lung Health,” “Protecting youth from industry manipulation and preventing tobacco and nicotine use,” and “Commit to Quit” aim to raise awareness and provoke reflection on the damage caused by tobacco, especially to the lungs, seeking to reduce/eliminate its use.
Flight Attendant Day: honors professionals who ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
Airport Day: established to recognize the importance of airports and the professionals who work to keep operations safe and efficient. Connectivity and Mobility, Economic Development, Safety, and Infrastructure are just some of the relevant points.
