Health and Quality of Life After 60: 04

World Day for Safety and Health at Work: the date originates from April 28, 1969, when an explosion in a mine in the United States resulted in the death of 79 miners. In 2003, the International Labour Organization (ILO) officially recognized this day as a way to honor the victims of workplace accidents.

National Day of the Caatinga: in 2003, Federal Law 10,364 established the date as a way to recognize the importance of this biome and promote awareness of its conservation. The Caatinga is an exclusively Brazilian ecosystem characterized by vegetation adapted to semi-arid conditions, with thorny trees, cacti, and drought-resistant shrubs. It is part of the biodiversity of the Brazilian Northeast.

Mother-in-Law Day: an informal and light-hearted occasion celebrated in many places around the world, dedicated to the relationship between mothers-in-law and sons/daughters-in-law. It’s an opportunity to express appreciation, humor, or even discuss family relationships.

National Day in Memory of Victims of Accidents and Occupational Diseases: In 2003, Federal Law 11,121 officialized the date in Brazil. In the United States, the first celebration occurred in 1970, when thousands of workers gathered to protest against unsafe working conditions.
