World Population Day: established to raise awareness about issues related to the world population, including the importance of family planning, gender equality, maternal health, and human rights. It was instituted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 1989. The date marks the day when the world population reached 5 billion people, on July 11, 1987.

Rescuer’s Day: this day is dedicated to professionals who work in emergency medical services, providing first aid and saving lives. It is a tribute to those who work to help preserve human life.

Saint Benedict’s Day: celebrated primarily by Christian communities, this day honors Saint Benedict of Nursia, founder of the Benedictine Order and considered the Father of Western Monasticism (a form of life developed within Western Christianity, characterized by communities of monks and nuns who follow specific rules of communal and spiritual life. This monastic way of life emerged mainly in Europe and had a significant influence on the formation of Western Christian culture and spirituality). Saint Benedict is a saint venerated by both the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. He lived between 480 and 547 AD and is known for his work in founding monasteries and creating the Rule of Saint Benedict.
