Truck Driver’s Day: in Brazil, there are three main dates related to truck drivers and drivers: National Truck Driver’s Day, Truck Driver’s Day, and Driver’s Day. The official date (June 30th – National Truck Driver’s Day) was established by law in 2009. However, Truck Driver’s Day (September 16th – State of São Paulo) is older, having been created in 1986. Driver’s Day (July 25th) is also celebrated at the national level and is related to Saint Christopher’s Day, the patron saint of drivers and travelers.
International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer: proclaimed by the UN in 1994 to celebrate the signing of the Montreal Protocol, which was a milestone in the preservation of the ozone layer that protects the Earth from the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun.
National Day for the Fight and Prevention of Thrombosis: this day was established by law in 2015.
Mexico’s Independence Day: 1810.
Anniversary of Alagoas’ Emancipation: occurred on September 16, 1817, marking its separation from the state of Pernambuco.
