HISTORIAN’S DAY: sanctioned in 2009, it is a tribute to Joaquim Nabuco, a Brazilian historian born on 12-19-1849, who was a diplomat, abolitionist, and founding member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters.
WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY: created to mark the anniversary of the invention of the daguerreotype, a photographic process developed by Louis Daguerre in 1839.
THEATRE ARTIST’S DAY: celebrates professionals dedicated to the dramatic arts.
WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY: celebrated in memory of the attack on the United Nations Headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, in 2003, which resulted in the deaths of 22 people, including Brazilian Sérgio Vieira de Mello.
LATIN AMERICAN JEWISH INTEGRATION DAY: a tribute to the birth of Latin American Jewish leader and thinker Moisés Ville, who was one of the founders of the first Jewish agricultural colony in Argentina, called Moisés Ville, in 1889.
NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL AVIATION DAY: a tribute to the first agricultural flight carried out in Brazil on August 19, 1947, in Pelotas, RS.
NATIONAL CYCLIST DAY: a law from 2017, it is a tribute to Pedro Davison, a cyclist who was fatally hit by a drunk driver in 2006.
